Eligibility for a housing voucher is determined by the NSBH based on the total annual gross income, criminal background, and family size and is limited to US citizens and specified categories of non-citizens who have eligible immigration status.
During the application process, the NSBH will collect information on family income, assets, and family composition. The NSBH will verify this information with other local agencies, your employer, and your bank, and will use the information to determine program eligibility.
If the NSBH determines that your family is eligible, the NSBH will put your name on a waiting list by the date and time you applied. Once your name comes to the top of the waiting list the New Smyrna Beach Housing will contact you by mail, or email. It is very important that the applicant notify the agency in writing if they change their mailing or email address and phone number.
