Welcome to the Workforce Housing page. Started in 1950, the New Smyrna Beach Housing (NSBH) provides 92 Workforce Housing units in the City of New Smyrna Beach, Florida to its residents that qualify as low-income. Families, seniors, and handicapped live in NSBH-maintained units at a very reasonable price because of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funding.
There are four Unit Areas:
New Smyrna Beach Housing assists residents with information on transportation, education, employment, and medical needs. The City-Wide Resident Council provides programs and services to our residents. An assortment of not-for-profit agencies like Halifax Urban Ministries (food assistance) and Score (New Business Start-up information) and others help the residents in their endeavors in life as well as advance their goals.
New Smyrna Beach Housing does not provide emergency housing. But those needing this help are urged to contact the agencies in the area that do.
