On Thursday, June 19th NSBHA offices will be closed in celebration of Juneteenth. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, June 23rd at 7:30 a.m.
Juneteenth is celebrated each year on the 19th of June in remembrance of the day in 1875 when federal troops arrived in Texas to free the enslaved population there. Though this occurred two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, Juneteenth is widely celebrated as the end to slavery in America.
